The short version
ROAScal Resources is published by ROAScal. Some links to third-party tools are affiliate links: if you click one and later buy, the vendor may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and you are never charged more because you came through us.
Not every link earns a commission. Many tools we list have no affiliate programme, or one we have not joined. They are listed because they are useful, and they are linked in exactly the same way.
How to spot a commercial link
Every outbound link to a tool goes through an address on our own site that starts with roascal.com/go/. Pages that contain these links carry a disclosure near the top, before the first one. On social media, posts that include an affiliate link are labelled as an ad or affiliate link in the post itself.
How tools are chosen
A tool is assessed before we look at whether it has an affiliate programme. To be listed it has to be a credible company with real users and pricing we can verify, and it has to be something we would recommend to a client. A commission cannot buy a listing, a better verdict or a higher position in a comparison.
Every entry says who the tool is not for. Facts such as price and features are taken from the vendor’s own website on the date shown on the page, and we link to that page so you can check it. Prices change; treat ours as a starting point and confirm on the vendor’s site before you buy.
ROAScal is itself a product in this market. Where a page recommends ROAScal, it says so plainly and it is our own product, not an affiliate link.
What we record when you click
When you follow a /go/ link we record which link it was, which page and position it was on, the site you came from, your country, whether you were on a phone or a computer, and a one-way hashed identifier that changes every day. We do not store your IP address and we do not set a tracking cookie to do this.
After you arrive on the vendor’s site, that vendor or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase. Those are governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
The rules we follow
In the UK, the CAP Code enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority, and the guidance on affiliate marketing published by the ASA and the Competition and Markets Authority. In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides. Both come to the same thing: you should know a link is commercial before you click it.
